MSSiS 2022
Software-intensive systems are those in which software is a dominant and essential element. In
those systems, software crosscuts all the steps of the
software development process. Due to the emergence and rise of novel and increasingly more complex types of
systems such as smart cities,
cyber-physical systems, systems-of-systems, and software ecosystems, new frontiers of research have been
opened to investigate how to provide
reliability through modeling of these new systems, which are often highly dynamic and interact extensively
with the environment around them.
In this sense, it is imperative not only to advance in the static modeling of intensive systems in software,
but also to advance in the modeling of dynamic aspects of these systems.
To do so, the use of dynamic software models, such as run-time models and simulation models, become
paramount.
In this scenario, the
IV Workshop on Modeling and Simulation of Software-Intensive Systems (MSSiS 2022)
invites the research community that works with simulations in the context of software engineering to discuss
the possible synergies between the modeling and simulation paradigms for Software Engineering, as well as
Model-Based Software Engineering approaches for dynamic models.
