Título: Código-fonte ou modelo? Como o uso de ferramentas de linguagens pode auxiliar na programação generativa.Abstract: Model-Driven Software Engineering (MDSE) aims to focus on modeling in the development process, incorporating specifications at different levels of abstraction, from more general concepts to domain-specific details. A typical case of this approach involves a sequence of automated transformations that starts with conceptual models, moves through intermediate models with platform knowledge, and ends with the source code. Among the benefits of this practice are increased quality, productivity, and efficiency. However, MDSE requires greater attention to formalisms and the creation of modeling artifacts, which are often seen merely as auxiliary documentation rather than as an integral part of the software. An alternative to reducing the need to create abstract models is to use the structures of the source code itself as part of the specification, especially in tasks more implementation-oriented. This can be particularly useful in the later stages of the software life cycle when the source code becomes more relevant. This lecture will present ways to apply MDSE techniques directly in the source code without requiring developers to maintain very abstract models in parallel. Examples from a research project that investigated code generation for a microservices architecture will be discussed, in which the developer uses the source code, along with an architecture specification, to obtain executable software.
