The
main objective of this workshop is to foster discussions on
software system modeling across a broad spectrum. Other objectives include: (i) outlining the Brazilian community working on simulations and executable models in the context of software engineering; (ii) providing a platform for discussing potential synergies between the modeling and simulation paradigm (M&S, prevalent in Systems Engineering) and Software Engineering; (iii) addressing research in Model-Driven Software Engineering, particularly concerning runtime models; and (iv) exploring techniques, methods, and tools to support faithful software representation through models (simulation, executable, or otherwise), as well as conducting empirical studies.
Therefore, contributions discussing the use of models, including (but not limited to) simulation models, executable models, agents, or metamodels for software systems are welcome.
General Format: The workshop will be organized in the format of full paper presentations, short papers, and position papers, along with confirmed lectures. Authors of accepted papers will be invited to present their work during technical sessions. The event will include an opening session, as well as a discussion and closing session.
Topics of interest include (but are not limited to):
- - Human Behavior Characterization in Software Development;

Acceptance Criteria and Presentation Format:
Articles may be written in Portuguese or English. For articles written in Portuguese, the title must be in Portuguese and include both the resumo and the abstract. For articles written in English, the title must be in English and include only the abstract.
All submissions must follow the formatting style of the Brazilian Computing Society (SBC) events and can be:
Full papers (between 8 and 10 pages), presenting a result of interest for the advancement of research in the field. Papers describing models, methods, experimental studies, and industrial experience reports are welcome;
Short papers (up to 6 pages and 1 additional page for references), describing ongoing work;
Cases (between 5 and 7 pages), reporting experiences of applying simulation in real industrial production or research environments, showing the impact that the use of such models brought to the process, gains, and analyzed factors/attributes; and
Position papers (up to 5 pages), opinion papers or papers summarizing a research project, tool, or technique, or containing research perspectives on workshop themes.
Papers will be reviewed by at least three program committee members. Acceptance will be based primarily on originality and contribution to the field. For full papers, the judging criteria are: (i) relevance to the workshop scope, (ii) practical relevance, (iii) technical quality, (iv) clarity of presentation, and (v) originality. For short papers, the judging criteria adopted for the "full papers" category will be followed; however, it will be considered that these report ongoing work, and the feedback should be more focused on assisting the authors than being critical of the results achieved so far. Position papers will be evaluated following the same criteria as the "full papers" category, with the weight placed on the discussion potential the paper can generate in the workshop. Regardless of the type (full paper, short paper, or position paper), submissions will be reviewed "blindly" (
double-blind review), with any identification of authors and reviewers omitted.
Accepted papers presented at the workshop will be published on the SBC OpenLib platform - SOL:
