Call for Papers (MSSiS 2019)
NEWS: The three best papers of MSSiS will be invited for submission of an extended version to the
Journal of the Brazilian Computer Society (JBCS) - Springer.
The papers can be written in Portuguese or English. All submissions must follow the formatting
style of the events of the Brazilian Computer Society (SBC), also available on
Overleaf, classified in:
- Full Papers (up to 10 pages), presenting a result of interest for the advancement of research in the area. Papers describing models, methods, experimental studies and reports of industrial experience are welcome; and
- Short Papers (up to 5 pages), describing ongoing research and/or preliminary results.
Topics of interest include (but are not limited to):
- - Modeling and Simulation (M&S) for Software Requirements Engineering
- - Modeling and Simulation (M&S) for Software Architecture
- - Modeling and Simulation (M&S) for Software Testing
- - Modeling and Simulation (M&S) for Software Verification and Validation
- - Modeling and Simulation (M&S) for Software Deployment
- - Modeling and Simulation (M&S) for Software Evolution and Maintenance
- - Modeling and Simulation (M&S) for Software Security and Safety
- - Software Simulation using many paradigms (such as Systems Dynamics, NetLogo, MultiAgents, DEVS)
- - Model-Driven/Based Software Engineering
- - MDE as a Service
- - Simulation as a Service
- - Models at runtime (Models@runtime)
- - Reuse of Dynamic Models
- - Simulation and Models@runtime for Empirical studies in software engineering
- - Modeling and Simulation (M&S) for Software-Intensive Systems, including large-scale systems, cyber-physical systems, information systems,
systems-of-systems, systems-of-information systems, business processes, software ecosystems, critical systems for avionics and other domains,
smart cities and their constituents systems
- - Megamodels
- - Graphical and Textual Domain-Specific Languages for Modeling Software Dynamics
Submissions will be managed through Easychair. Papers can be submitted using the following link:
https://easychair.org/conferences/?conf=1omssis
The papers will be evaluated by at least three committee members.
The acceptance will be mainly based on the originality and contribution.
For full papers, the observed criteria are: (i) suitability to the workshop scope, (ii) relevance, (iii) technical quality, (iv) clearness and (v) originality.
For short and position papers, the judgement criteria for full papers will also be followed. However, consolidated results are not expected for this category,
and the acceptance will be based on the importance of the topic, potential to foster discussions during the workshop, and focus on feedback for authors.
All the papers, regardeless of their category, will be subject to a (
double blind review) process. Hence, any type of identification
should be suppressed.
